Team notes:

  • Results to date will be posted May 19
  • Comment (in the form of suggested language changes - add, delete or change) to the list by Friday, May 21.
  • Greg & Lou will generate draft action steps for Reward objective
  • Jon will show suggested changes in [brackets] for review.
  • Barbara will get her grad student to type up bibliography of our sources.

  • We will meet Monday, May 24, to finalize all items and language for the report.

Greg has reserved the studio at Hope High School for Wednesday May 26 at 5:30 to create a video. We will need to assign roles for our presentation to the Planning Team on June 8.

    Video:

Briefly discussed how video should work.  Jon's suggestion that individuals, especially teacher and parent participants in SIT/SBM, should advocate for our objectives speaking from their own experience and needs was accepted. Barbara suggested central interviewer role to prompt discussion.

    Objectives and action items

The notes below [Click Here to see them] collect the objective and action step drafting work we did last night (Tuesday, May 18), adding it to the work done the night before (Monday, May 17.)  I've put it all together as a single draft.  What's missing are action steps for:
  • Power
  • Rewards

  • In place of the action steps in these two areas, I've repeated the action steps that were assigned to each when we first generated and sorted action steps last week (the exercise with sticky notes). On my own initiative I have also located quotes from Wohlstetter, et. al. for Power and Information and pasted in the quote from Fukayama I sent around since I think it helps shape the very ambiguous stategy we were given to start with. These are totally open to challenge. I've composed this in Word. The e-mail results may be messy.  If anyone wants me to send them the original Word file as an attachment, let me know and I'll mail it.

    Meanwhile

Also needed: Greg will compose executive summary cover letter.
